Position Overview

As a Care Professional at Primacy Homecare Ltd, you will be a crucial member of our dedicated care team, responsible for delivering compassionate and person-centred care to our clients. You will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for those we serve while enjoying the benefits of working for a well-funded company that values and rewards its employees.

Key Responsibilities

  • Personalized Care: Provide assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) in accordance with individualized care plans, ensuring clients’ comfort and well-being.
  • Companionship: Offer emotional support and companionship, engaging in meaningful conversations and activities with clients.
  • Medication Assistance: Administer medications following established protocols and maintain accurate records.
  • Safety and Mobility: Assist clients with mobility, transfers, and maintaining a safe living environment.
  • Meal Preparation: Prepare and serve nutritious meals, accommodating dietary preferences and restrictions.
  • Hygiene and Grooming: Assist clients with personal hygiene tasks, including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
  • Household Tasks: Perform light housekeeping duties such as cleaning, laundry, and grocery shopping.
  • Communication: Maintain clear and open communication with clients, their families, and the care coordination team.
  • Documentation: Accurately document care activities, changes in client conditions, and any concerns or observations.
  • Client Advocacy: Be an advocate for clients’ needs and preferences, ensuring their comfort and satisfaction.

Qualifications / Other Requirements

  • Prior experience as a Care Professional or in a similar role within the domiciliary care sector is advantageous.
  • Minimum NVQ Level 2/3 in Health and Social Care.
  • Driving licence and access to own car.
  • Compassion, empathy, and a genuine desire to make a positive impact on clients’ lives.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to follow care plans and instructions accurately.
  • Understanding of care principles, dignity, and respect for clients.
  • A valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation may be required.
